Valentine’s Day is coming next week, which means we only have a few days to align ourselves with the love in the air. For this Friday Picks, we’re diving into history, love, culture, and multicultural arts.
TRY the best view of Paris

If you'll be in Paris during Valentine's Day, there's nothing more romantic than a meal right in front of one of the most iconic 'love symbols' EVER: the Eiffel Tower. Café du Trocadéro is one of my all-time favorite restaurants, not just because of the breathtaking view, but also for its incredible cuisine. Nothing will ever beat the experience I had trying its food for the first time.
As the name suggests, the restaurant is located in Place du Trocadéro, and you can make a reservation on its website. Just be sure to pay attention to where your table will be cause this will define your entire experience!
CHECK out the ‘When We See Us’ exhibition at BOZAR

Starting this February, BOZAR will present When We See Us, a kaleidoscopic exhibition exploring a century of Pan-African figurative painting.
Inspired by Ava DuVernay's series When They See Us, the exhibition title reflects a fundamental perspective on Black self-representation and global Black subjectivities.
Featuring approximately 150 works by around 120 artists, the exhibition is grouped into six themes: The Everyday, Joy & Revelry, Repose, Sensuality, Spirituality, and Triumph & Emancipation.
Ever since I found out about this exhibition, I haven’t been able to stop thinking about it, and I can’t wait to be in Brussels to see it in person. If Brussels is on your travel plans this year, you have until August to catch this incredible experience. Don’t miss it!
WATCH ‘Anora’ in theaters

Now screening, this love story will have you glued to your seat, immersing you in the conflicts faced by Ani. There’s no movie more chaotic yet ironically beautiful to watch in theaters right now.
I wasn’t expecting to have as much fun as I did, it completely took me by surprise. Mikey’s performance is DIVINE. It’s impossible not to fall in love with her just being her. It’s legendary, necessary, and definitely not momentary, still living in my mind and heart!
LISTEN to ‘DeBÍ TiRAR MáS FOToS’ by Bad Bunny

Since we're talking about culture, representation, centuries of tradition, love, and its many forms, nothing could fit this Friday Picks better than an entire album dedicated to the preservation of culture and the impact of globalization on our traditions.
‘DtMF’ by Bad Bunny is one of the most incredible albums I’ve had the pleasure of listening to, and as someone from a multicultural family, I couldn’t relate more. It’s a beautiful, fulfilling, and necessary listen.
READ the new ‘I’m Stil Here’ cast interview

Talking about history and family traditions combined with the moment we’re living in, you’ve probably already heard about the amazing Brazilian Oscar-nominated film I’m Still Here.
Just as I finished my Friday Picks, Letterboxd dropped an incredible new interview with the cast, and it’s impossible not to mention it. As the journal highlights, Walter Salles and Fernanda Torres discuss memory as resistance and the political power of joy in their historic film, just the perfect match to wrap up this Friday Picks.
I hope you like my recommendations for this week and month, and please, please, please don’t forget to share your experience trying out our Friday Picks with us!!!
