Where to go, eat, drink, party and all in Paris - Travel Guide

It’s a fact: every trip is defined by its biggest clichés. I will always look back fondly on the mix of feelings I had when I saw the Eiffel Tower for the first time—and how I almost maxed out my phone’s storage just posing in front of it. But even after that initial experience, Paris remains one of my favorite places on Earth, though for different reasons now. The food, the art, the culture, the traditions, and even the language itself (which seems to evolve differently here than in the rest of the country) are what truly enchant me. Regardless of where I am, they always will.

My favorite restaurant is definitely marked by the experience of having such a privileged view of the Tower, but that doesn't define it. The food itself is what brings back the most incredible memories of the city. If they opened the same restaurant in some random alley or a hidden backyard, it would still be my favorite because of the cuisine, the service, and the atmosphere inside (even if it takes some nearly impossible mental gymnastics to pretend the glass windows aren't there showing the illuminated city at night).

I created the concept of the New Mean 4u Travel Guides to share a bit of the magic of this perspective—one I discover and rediscover around the world—with you. I want these Guides to be updated whenever I revisit a place or find a new one. But for this first selection, I’ve brought you 3 recommendations for each of the things I love doing most in the cities I visit: eat, grab a coffee (or for me, specifically a matcha), visit exhibitions, drink, and dance.

TO DINE OUT

Café du Trocadero

It’s no news to anyone that Café du Trocadero (which, despite the name, isn’t just a café) is one of my all-time favorite restaurants. Besides the breathtaking view—day or night—the food is impeccable, and the menu always features the restaurant's striking signature dishes.

Alfred

When I remember that food is also art, the first restaurant name that pops into my head is, without a doubt, Alfred. Paris is an intense city when it comes to beauty, and this is the perfect place to bring that concept right to your table.

Le Mirabeau

A Parisian classic, though my experience with Le Mirabeau is more recent. In 2025, I had the chance to try a few dishes from the menu, and every single one was extremely impeccable—one of those experiences you look back on with a lot of affection. I have to confess, though, a major heads-up here is the bathroom hahaha, it’s a work of art in itself.

TO GRAB A COFFEE (OR MATCHA)

Café Nuances

If you love coffee and you’re headed to Paris, you’ve definitely heard this name. Despite my track record with "hyped" spots that end up delivering average quality, Café Nuances delivers everything it promises in taste and even more in the experience of visiting one of their locations in the city. And if you, like me, eat with your eyes first, their official Instagram profile is definitely worth a scroll.

Inform Café

I must confess my palate isn’t a huge fan of Eggs Benedict, but it was at Inform Café that I actually enjoyed one for the first time. Even though the space reminds me a lot of summer, the view remains beautiful in other seasons, and it’s absolutely worth a visit anytime you’re in Paris.

Juni

I’m a marketing student, and if there’s one thing I appreciate alongside my matcha, it’s well-done branding. Juni is the official café for those who hate bad chain coffee (cough cough) and they even serve up a nice little DJ set every now and then. It’s an experience to be lived, for sure. If your time in the city is short but you get lucky enough to catch a special event happening, it’s worth skipping something else just to live this moment.

TO DRINK

Haze

Honestly, I never thought I’d find a place that made me feel like I was inside Gossip Girl quite like Haze. Intimate atmosphere, mysterious and sexy vibe, and drinks that will mark your memory in the most positive way imaginable. It’s a great spot to wear the best outfit in your suitcase and channel your inner Blair Waldorf, Serena, or whatever character is your life inspiration. Every sip here is like literally tasting the best Paris has to offer.

Serpent A Plume

To be honest, I’m starting this brief description of Serpent À Plume without knowing what to say because it feels like there are no words in the world that can describe what this place is. It’s definitely not for everyone, but everyone should have the opportunity to experience what it has to offer. A quick look at their Instagram should give you an overview of what awaits, but if I can spoil it with my own words in this specifically opinion-light review, I’d say it’s everything you don’t expect but need to experience. Just so I don't leave you completely in the dark: the drinks are classic, the music is usually Jazz (which suits the city at night perfectly), and the memories, you can be sure, will be striking.

Rojo

The space itself is definitely the game-changer here. Rojo is a great environment to sip wine with friends (or even on a date) while discussing the more philosophical nuances of life. The art in the place is phenomenal, starting with the entrance sign itself, which is a great—but not spoiler-heavy—introduction to the venue. I confess that regarding the cocktails, I want to hear about your experiences in our community; the mood of the place screamed "late night, wine" to me, and I listened. But my tourist sixth sense for cocktails assures me the experience will be just as good for those who go down that path.

TO VISIT

Fondation Louis Vuitton

This visit surprised me, mostly due to my own carelessness. I wasn't expecting the level of artistic exhibition the Louis Vuitton Foundation delivered because I was mentally prepared for just "another brand's Dior Gallery." Anyone interested in the subject probably already knows this, but for those at risk of being caught off guard like me: heads up, it is truly a museum. The building itself is the first work of art you'll encounter on this itinerary, and at the risk of missing out on what's inside, the view from the outside is already worth the effort of the visit.

Musée Galliera

Paris is the city of love, but it’s also one of the fashion capitals, and not without reason. The Palais Galliera Fashion Museum gathers everything any fashion lover probably wants to know. I visited with a specific friend in mind because she would absolutely love the experience, but even if you (or whoever is with you) aren't super into that universe—which I find hard to believe if you’re reading me—it’s still a swoon-worthy visit just for the beauty of what human creativity can create.

Saint Sulpice

I’m not religious, but no one in the world can disagree (or would dare to) that Catholic churches are always an exhibition of architectural art. Obviously, an ancient city like Paris has many churches to visit, starting with Notre Dame itself, but I’m going to intervene and say that Église Saint-Sulpice is the visit that will make the trip worthwhile. I unpretentiously walked into the church while coming back from the Luxembourg Museum, and everything about it is enchanting: the paintings, the architecture, the history, everything you can imagine. Don’t go to Paris and miss this opportunity; plus, you hit two tourist spots in one go, and you won’t regret it.

TO DANCE THE NIGHT AWAY

Bonnie Club

Ever imagined spending the night on a rooftop enjoying good music while also having a privileged view of the Eiffel Tower? If so, you can turn what was once just imagination into reality. Bonnie Club is THE perfect find for a person who, like me, loves to enjoy the night, dance with friends, and stay out until sunrise. The drinks are good, the energy is contagious, and you’ll very likely enjoy an entire set without complaining about a single song or wanting to stop to rest.

Spootnik

Want to live the most surreal experience of your life but with one condition? Spootnik is the right place. The culture here is really the strong point and the differentiator; it’s about really dancing and forgetting the night has an end. There isn't always a "party" happening per se, and in those cases, the bar stays open and the experience is still totally worth it. It’s a bit more competitive to get in, and the prices are great, which might increase the competition even more. For the next available date as of this publication, February 27, 2026, tickets are already on sale. Oh, the condition to live the most surreal experience of your life? No phones allowed!

Caveau de la Huchette

Here we keep the concept of dancing but drastically lower the clubber culture levels. Caveau de la Huchette is the ideal hangout you don’t find in every city all year round, so it’s worth experiencing while you’re traveling. It’s live music with more classic instruments, and it’s also a cool experience to have when you’re there and remember that someone was also there back in 1946. It’s about living, dancing, enjoying, and soaking up the history of the city’s life.

Well, Paris is a city full of incredible surprises. Every time you visit, you're bound to find new things to do and see the city through fresh eyes. That’s the beauty of life and big cities: they change just like we do, surprising us just as much as life itself. Heraclitus used to say that no man ever steps in the same river twice... for it's not the same river, and he's not the same man. The same goes for Paris.

Toda viagem é marcada por seus momentos mais clichês, isso é fato. Eu sempre vou lembrar com carinho do mix de sentimentos que tive quando vi a Torre Eiffel pela primeira vez e de quase lotar a memória do meu celular apenas tirando fotos posando com ela. Acontece que, mesmo depois dessa experiência, Paris continua sendo um dos meus lugares favoritos do mundo, mas por motivos diferentes. Comida, arte, cultura, tradições e até mesmo a própria língua — que vive uma evolução diferente aqui do restante do país — são pontos encantadores para mim. Independentemente do lugar, sempre serão.

Meu restaurante favorito é marcado, sim, pela experiência de ter uma vista tão privilegiada da Torre, mas isso não o define; a comida por si só é o que mais me traz lembranças incríveis da cidade. Se abrissem o mesmo restaurante em algum beco qualquer ou no fundo de algum quintal, eu ainda assim o teria como o meu favorito por já conhecer a culinária, o atendimento e o ambiente de dentro (fazendo a atividade mental quase impossível de fingir que os vidros não existem e não mostram a cidade iluminada durante a noite).

Eu criei o conceito dos Guias de Viagem aqui da New Mean 4u para poder trazer um pouco da mágica desse meu ponto de vista, que eu descubro e redescubro ao redor do mundo, para vocês. Eu quero que os Guias sejam atualizados sempre que eu revisitar algum lugar ou descobrir um novo, mas para essa primeira seleção, trouxe 3 indicações do que mais gosto de fazer nas cidades que visito: comer, pegar um café (pra mim especificamente, um matcha), visitar exposições, beber e dançar. Mas afinal, o que fazer em Paris?

PARA COMER

Café du Trocadero

Não é novidade para ninguém que o Café du Trocadero (que, apesar do nome, não é apenas um café) é um dos meus restaurantes favoritos da vida. Aqui, além da vista de tirar o fôlego durante o dia ou à noite, a comida é impecável e o cardápio sempre conta com assinaturas marcantes do restaurante.

Alfred

Quando eu lembro que a arte também está na comida, o primeiro nome de restaurante que me vem à cabeça, com toda a certeza, é o Alfred. Paris é uma cidade intensa quando se trata de beleza, e aqui é o lugar perfeito para você levar esse conceito até mesmo para a sua refeição.

Le Mirabeau

Clássico parisiense, minha experiência com o Le Mirabeau é mais recente. Em 2025 tive a oportunidade de provar alguns pratos do menu e todos são extremamente impecáveis, daquelas experiências em que você para e pensa depois com muito carinho. Tenho que confessar que um ponto de atenção aqui foi o banheiro hahaha, é uma obra de arte por si só.

PARA TOMAR UM CAFÉ (OU UM MATCHÁ)

Café Nuances

Se você gosta de cafés e está indo para Paris, com certeza já ouviu esse nome. Apesar do meu histórico com lugares 'hypados' que acabam entregando qualidade mediana, o Café Nuances entrega tudo o que promete na degustação e mais ainda com a experiência que é visitar uma de suas lojas na cidade. E se você, assim como eu, também come primeiro com os olhos, vale a pena dar uma checada no perfil oficial do Instagram deles.

Inform Café

Devo confessar que meu paladar não é muito fã de eggs benedict, mas foi no Inform Café que eu tive a experiência de gostar de um pela primeira vez. Apesar de ser um espaço que me lembra muito o verão, a vista continua linda em outras épocas do ano e com certeza vale a visita a qualquer momento que você estiver em Paris.

Juni

Eu sou um estudante de marketing e se tem uma coisa que eu aprecio junto com meu matcha é um branding bem feito. O Juni é o café oficial daqueles que detestam cafés ruins de redes (cof cof) e ainda serve um bom setzinho com DJ de vez em quando. É uma experiência pra ser vivida com toda a certeza e, se seu tempo na cidade for curto mas você der a sorte de estar rolando um evento especial, vale abrir mão de uma coisinha ou outra para viver esse momento.

PARA BEBER

Haze

Eu honestamente nunca pensei que encontraria um lugar que me fizesse sentir dentro de Gossip Girl como o Haze. Ambiente intimista, vibe misteriosa e sexy, e drinks que vão marcar sua memória da forma mais positiva que você puder imaginar. É um ótimo lugar para vestir seu melhor look da mala e incorporar a Blair Waldorf, a Serena ou seja lá qual personagem for sua inspiração de vida. Cada gole nesse lugar é como degustar de forma quase literal o que de melhor Paris tem para oferecer.

Serpent A Plume

Sendo sincero, estou começando o trecho de descrição breve do Serpent À Plume sem saber o que vou falar, porque parece que não há palavras no mundo que consigam descrever o que esse lugar é. Definitivamente não é pra qualquer um, mas qualquer um deveria ter a oportunidade de viver o que esse lugar tem para oferecer. Uma breve olhada no Instagram deles já deve te dar um overview do que te espera, mas se eu puder adiantar nas minhas palavras dessa review em específico (que vai ficar pobre de opinião), eu diria que é tudo o que você não espera, mas precisa viver. Para não ficar totalmente em branco: as bebidas são as clássicas, a música geralmente é Jazz (o que combina com a cidade à noite) e as memórias, você pode ter certeza, vão ser marcantes.

Rojo

O espaço definitivamente é o divisor de águas aqui. O Rojo é um ótimo ambiente para você tomar um vinho com seus amigos (ou até mesmo num date) enquanto discute sobre as nuances mais filosóficas da vida. A arte do local é fenomenal, a começar pela própria placa de entrada que já é uma ótima — mas não deduradora — apresentação do local. Confesso que sobre os drinks eu quero ouvir da experiência de vocês na nossa comunidade; o mood do local me gritou 'late night, wine' e eu ouvi, mas meu sexto sentido de turista que ama drinks me assegura de que a experiência também vai ser boa para quem optar por esse caminho.

PARA VISITAR E CONHECER

Fondation Louis Vuitton

Essa visita me surpreendeu até por descuido meu. Eu não esperava o nível de exposição artística que a Fundação Louis Vuitton me entregou porque eu estava mentalmente preparado para uma "Galeria Dior de outra marca". Qualquer um que tenha interesse no assunto provavelmente já sabe disso, mas para os que correm o risco de serem pegos de surpresa como eu, fica o aviso de que é realmente um museu. A construção já é a primeira obra de arte com a qual você vai ter contato nesse roteiro e, correndo o risco de perder muito o que tem dentro, a vista do lado de fora já vale o esforço da visita.

Musée Galliera

Paris é a cidade do amor, mas também é uma das capitais da moda e isso não é à toa. O Museu de Moda do Palácio Galliera reúne tudo o que qualquer pessoa apaixonada por moda provavelmente quer saber. Foi uma visita que fiz com uma amiga específica na cabeça, pois ela com certeza amaria a experiência, mas se você ou quem está te acompanhando não for muito ligado nesse universo (o que eu acho difícil se você é meu leitor), ainda assim é uma visita de arrancar longos suspiros com a beleza do que a criatividade humana pode criar.

Saint Sulpice

Eu não sou religioso, mas ninguém no mundo pode discordar (ou se atreveria a isso) quando falamos que as igrejas católicas são sempre uma exposição de arte arquitetônica. É óbvio que uma cidade antiga como Paris tem muitas igrejas para visitar, a começar pela própria Notre Dame, mas vou intervir e dizer que a Église Saint-Sulpice é a visita que vai fazer a viagem valer a pena. Despretensiosamente entrei na igreja enquanto voltava do Museu de Luxemburgo e tudo nela é encantador: as pinturas, a arquitetura, a história... tudo o que você conseguir imaginar. Não vá a Paris e perca essa oportunidade; de quebra você faz dois pontos turísticos em um momento só do seu dia e não vai se arrepender.

PARA CURTIR A NOITE

Bonnie Club

Já imaginou passar a noite num rooftop curtindo uma boa música enquanto, de quebra, tem uma vista privilegiada da Torre Eiffel? Se já, você pode transformar o que antes estava só na sua imaginação em realidade. O Bonnie Club é O achado perfeito para uma pessoa que, assim como eu, ama curtir a noite, dançar com os amigos e amanhecer "na rua". Os drinks são bons, a energia é contagiante e você muito provavelmente vai curtir um set inteiro sem reclamar de nenhuma música ou querer parar para descansar.

Spootnik

Quer viver a experiência mais surreal da sua vida, mas com uma condição? A Spootnik é o lugar certo. A cultura aqui é realmente o forte e o diferencial; é pra dançar mesmo e esquecer que a noite tem fim. Não é sempre que tá rolando festa em si, e nesses casos o bar continua aberto e mesmo assim vale completamente a experiência. É um pouco mais concorrido, os valores são ótimos (então isso pode aumentar mais a concorrência) e, para a data mais próxima a partir dessa publicação, 27 de fevereiro de 2026, os ingressos já estão à venda. Ah, a condição para viver a experiência mais surreal da sua vida? No phones allowed!

Caveau de la Huchette

Aqui a gente mantém o conceito da dança, mas abaixamos drasticamente os níveis da cultura clubber. A Caveau de la Huchette é o rolê ideal que você não encontra em toda cidade o ano todo, então vale a pena vivenciar enquanto está viajando. É música ao vivo, com instrumentos mais clássicos, e também é uma experiência legal de se viver quando você está lá e lembra que alguém também já esteve lá em 1946. É viver, dançar, curtir e aproveitar a história da vida da cidade.

Bom, Paris é uma cidade cheia de surpresas incríveis e, toda vez que você for lá, com certeza vai encontrar coisas novas para fazer e descobrir a cidade com outros olhos.
